- Each Port Module (PM) supports a full length Ethernet segment and has easy-to-read LEDs
- Stacks with Magnum 3000 Hubs. Durable metal enclosure incorporates internal universal power supply
- Options include SNMP agent, - 48VDC, 24VDC, and 125VDC power supply, and bonus Port and bridge modules
3000X Mixed Media Concentrator can facilitate growth and change in 10Mb legacy networks supporting a large number of nodes. It is a versatile unit that offers a cost-effective approach for interconnecting up to twelve Ethernet network segments that may be of different media types. With practically unlimited stacking of up to 20 units, 3000X products are the most flexible and cost-effective solutions available for legacy network centres and industrial control systems.
The 3000X chassis has 12 slots, each of which can accept one Port Module for media connection. 3000X units can be managed by any of the network management systems products that support industry-standard SNMP agents, or by a Windows PC-based Network Management System software platform with graphical icons.
Users may configure any mix of media combinations. The RPM types available include media connectors for BNC with a termination switch; Multi-mode fibre 10BASE-FL; Single-mode fibre; AUI; RJ-45 for unshielded and shielded 10BASE-T twisted pair with up-link switch; and DTE for connection to servers and similar stations. A stacking cable is included for stacking 3000X units with each other, or with 3000 12-port and 24-port 10Mb hubs.
A 3000X unit operates as a single logical repeater and provides full repeater functionality on all RPM ports. The modular 3000X can be stand-alone or easily rack-mounted. 3000X Mixed Media Concentrators comply with Ethernet standards. All products are designed and manufactured in the USA and are backed by a three-year warranty.

8000X Mixed-media hubs provide the flexibility of configurable fibre and RJ-45 ports, of 100Mb or 10Mb Ethernet speed per-port, all in one hub with the expandability of stacking. Any mix of speeds and RJ-45 or fibre port types, up to 16 ports per hub, are accommodated in a 1U rack-mount package. Port modules may be factory configured or may be changed or added in the field.
Medium-sized “fibre-to-the-desktop” and industrial control networks that need to mix new ports at 100Mb performance with economical 10Mb ports for other nodes can benefit from the dual-speed 10/100Mb 8000X Mixed-Media fibre hubs.
Dual-speed network technology enables the 8000X hubs to accept either 100Mb or 10 Mb signals, over fibre or copper cables, configured on a per-port basis. Each fibre port can be installed as either 10Mb or 100Mb speed, with the fibre connector selected for ST, SC, FC, MTRJ, multi-mode or single-mode, FX or SX standard, or other popular fibre port connector types. Each RJ- 45 port is independently auto-sensing for 10/100Mb speed, and adapts to match the speed of the connected device.
The 8000X hubs support two shared traffic domains, one at 100Mb and one at 10Mb, with an internal bridge or switch interconnecting the two domains. Each port module is connected into the appropriate 100Mb or 10Mb domain, depending on its speed and type. As 8000X-A (or DS8016-A) stacked units are added, the two traffic domains are expanded, up to the three-units-high stacking capability of 8000s. Any combination of 100Mb or 10Mb ports, fibre or copper, may be in use.
The 8000X hubs and other products are made in the USA and are backed by a three year warranty.
