NEMA TS2 (1998) Environmental requirements for traffic control equipment

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) introduced the first major update of the TS1 standard in 1992 (revised in 1998). NEMA TS2 goes above and beyond TS1 by defining controllers, cabinets and systems more completely.

Section 2 of the NEMA TS2 Standard sets the environmental requirements for traffic control equipment. GarrettCom rigorously test every Ethernet product for correct operation during a computer controlled environmental chamber test cycle, based on the NEMA TS2 standards. GarrettCom design and test all input circuits to meet and exceed the NEMA TS-2 standards for surge (lightening) protection.
