Local European support for high quality Ethernet solutions
GarrettCom Europe, the leading supplier of high quality Ethernet solutions for industrial markets, has expanded its presence in Europe with the opening of new premises in the Netherlands.
In response to a rapidly growing demand for its hardened Ethernet products, GarrettCom Europe has opened a Customer Support facility outside The Hague in the Netherlands. GarrettCom Europe works through a number of Strategic Partners that focus on our target markets in the different territories. The new facility will provide more local support for our customers via our Partners in Northern Europe.
“We see huge potential for the expansion of Ethernet as the network of choice in control and automation, utilities, substation, transport and other applications,” says marketing manager David Moss. “But we also realise that Ethernet will only flourish in many of these areas if there is local, ‘on the ground’ support for the products. Our new facilities in the Netherlands will provide product stocking and backup for the crucial northern European market, enabling us to give our OEMs, systems integrators, resellers and international distributors the best possible service.”
Established in 1989, Garrettcom has its global headquarters in Fremont, California, and set up the European operation in 1998. The company has a worldwide installed base of more than 10 million node connections, including many in industrial network applications, and the new facilities in the Netherlands form a key step in the strategy to develop the company as the provider of choice for Ethernet solutions. “This is an important step in the growth of GarrettCom as a truly global supplier of Ethernet solutions,” David Moss adds. “We recognise that we must be quick to adapt to developments in customer needs and market conditions, and right now that means having local support offices in addition to our comprehensive network of channel partners.”
