GarrettCom’s 6K25e managed switches provide up to eight gigabit
ports and supports Power over Ethernet
GarrettCom Europe has extended its 6K range of Ethernet switches with the launch of the 6K25e enhanced managed switch. Developed to meet modern requirements of high performance and increased configuration flexibility, the 6K25e provides up to eight gigabit ports and choices of both 100Mb and 10Mb fibre or copper ports, all of which can be mixed and matched to best meet the needs of the application.
The 6K25e delivers high capacity and high performance Ethernet switching services in a robust, 1U rack-mounted package designed for the most demanding industrial networking and carrier-class applications. The modular design provides four multi-port slots, allowing free user selection of port configuration and connector types. The fibre ports support all connector types, and provide multi- and single-mode operation. Standard SFP and GBIC ports can be configured for a variety of gigabit fibre cabling types and distances, as well as 10/100/1000 copper. Also, Power over Ethernet is fully supported.
GarrettCom’s 6K25e switches meet all requirements for Ethernet services in modern industrial networking environments. Designed to provide a backbone of high speed, mixed media Ethernet connections for industrial networks where gigabit performance is becoming increasingly important, the 6K25e is easy to install and easy to operate. The advanced software combines ease of use with essential features such as security redundancy, and enables easy integration with WAN routers, small edge switches, serial device routers and other typical components within the wider industrial network.
The 6K25e’s rugged metal case is designed to stand up to the rigors of challenging industrial environments. For ease of physical installation, the 6K25e can be provided in standard configuration with the ports at the front of the case, or in reverse configuration with the ports at the rear. Power input options include universal AC, plus 48V DC, 24V DC and 125V DC as standard. Dual source DC power is optional.
