GarrettCom gain ABB IndustrialIT certification

GarrettCom 6K switches offers seamless integration with ABB automation solutions

GarrettCom Europe has announced that its 6K series of Industrial Ethernet switches has been IndustrialIT certified by ABB. The certification means the software provided by the 6K series offers seamless integration with ABB’s 800xA automation solutions via the company’s Aspect Integrator Platform (AIP), and with any other hardware or software connected by AIP.

ABB’s IndustrialIT concept for enterprise mangement makes it easy for companies to implement powerful, flexible and easily managed production processes. With the IndustrialIT certification of the MNS-6K software by ABB, companies can now easily set up and manage GarrettCom’s market leading 6K range of switches within Ethernet networks.

The MNS-6K software provides a host of functions to enable the versatile 6K Ethernet switches to perform efficiently in a wide range of managed LAN applications, including redundant topologies. It enables multi-functional security, supports VLANs and IGMP snooping, and supports a range of standards for fault-tolerant networks including STP, RSTP, Link Loss Learn and GarrettCom’s own S-Ring standard.
