Products
GarrettCom's Magnum product line of industrial Ethernet LAN
products includes more than 500 standard product models divided
among 10Mb, 100Mb, and gigabit Ethernet switches, hubs, media
converters, repeaters, concentrators, and transceivers. GarrettCom
products offer unrivalled flexibility allowing for cost effective
industrial networking solutions and applications, chassis
sizes ranging from departmental units capable of controlling
up to 40 ports to compact "personal" units that
can fit in the tightest of spaces. Standard LAN management
software is also incorporated in many models.
GarrettCom has introduced two Industrial Ethernet switches,
each available at three different levels of 'toughness' covering
applications ranging from the office environment through industrial
installations to the great outdoors. This is believed to be
the first time that low-cost switches have been offered meeting
such a wide range of applications environments.
GarrettCom has also recently launched the new S-Ring redundancy
management software for the Magnum industrial Ethernet product
line. S-Ring technology (patent pending) allows fast recovery
in ring topologies while working in concert with standard
spanning tree protocol (STP) algorithms for fast, reliable
and predictable fault recovery.
High reliability markets are served through GarrettCom, emphasising
fibre solutions with high reliability and performance orientated
features. GarrettCom offers dual source -48VDC power, NEBS
and ETSI certification, and 21" ETSI and 23" ANSI
rack mount options. 24VDC and 125VDC power, DIN-rail mounting,
built in fibre for shielding against electrical noise, long
distance connections, and extended temperature ranges are
features GarrettCom provide for the tough environments encountered
in industrial automation and control applications.
